Suppliers are not ranked against each other and councils are not ranked at all: matches are shown largest first only so the supplier you meant is easy to find.

The rules that produced these figures
Every figure is a lower bound. A supplier's figure counts only the councils and financial years this site has ingested, and inside those only the payments each council chose to publish above its own publication threshold. Councils not listed on a supplier's page have not been read for it, which is not the same as having paid nothing. So every figure is written as "at least".
Councils are never ranked. The years held differ from council to council, so an order by amount would order councils by how much of their data this site happens to hold. Nothing on these pages compares one council with another.
No individual is named. Councils withhold the names of private individuals, foster carers, care recipients and staff. Those payments are counted in every total the pipeline added up and appear in this index under no name at all. 7,950,601 rows are counted and never named.
A supplier gets a page when it reaches a stated size. Paid by 10 councils or more, or at least £10,000,000 in one financial year. Every other supplier in the index has a page built in your browser from the same file, which is why it is not listed for search engines.
